Further to my previous post - I received a not especially apologetic email this morning from the blog in question. Turns out that it was one big misunderstanding, the guy didn’t check the source before leaping to a conclusion and has now removed the comment.
Just wish people wouldn’t be so trigger happy with their accusations on the web. Check first. Am I right?
Thanks for all the support, especially June who (not that I’m getting too dramatic about it or anything) had my back.
Just been called out for stealing someone’s photograph and passing it off as my own. I was completely bemused as to how to respond, this being a new and unpleasant thing to happen across, so sent the tumblr blog in question the following message:
'Hello - I run the jimpatersonphotography blog, and noticed that you claimed one of the photographs on it was your's and that I'd stolen it. Everything I post is my own, I took the pictures in question and still have them on the camera used. If they look similar to one of your own, then fine, but it is not cool to label someone a 'thief' on this site inaccurately. Please remove your comment - if you would like links to the original flickr entries for either (posted March 2013), let me know.'
I hate it when I see my photos floating about the web without the content source, and would never knowingly do this to someone else.
